Vice-chair’s Report:  Nothing to report.

Committee Reports:  No report.

Mark informed that PCTM and SSHEMA are resources for one another and that we can make good use of our affiliation to PCTM.  The PCTM conferences are in Philadelphia (2002), Pocoma (2003), Harrisburg (2004).  PCTM is developing a speaker’s bureau list; we are encouraged to nominate speakers.  Mark informed that he gave a report concerning SSHEMA to PCTM.

Cliff announced that so far Shembari has received one article for inclusion in the Proceedings; he is still taking articles. These can be in Word, HTML, or PDF.

SSHEMA Conferences:  Rehn informed that there is still money left (see the distributed handout.)  Expenses were partially covered by an internal grant she wrote.  Speakers were given an honorarium of $600.  Lock haven is to be applauded for how well things worked out.

April 19 and 20 was unanimously agreed upon for 2002 Conference.  Schaeffer mentioned that they were waiting for the date confirmation, that they will follow the successful Lock haven model, and that they already have the dean’s support.  Several issues were discussed such as partial sponsorship from book companies, guest speakers, theme, and time extension on Saturday.
