Supported by National Science Foundation-funded research, Fathom
is a computer learning environment that gives students the power
to gather, explore, and anlyze data. Dynamic dragging makes data
analysis easy and statistical concepts meaningful. Representations
of data stay "in sync" so when you add or drag a point,
everything that depends on it updates. If you have a line of
best fit, or acalculation of the mean, or a t-test, you can see
the influence one point can haveautomatically and in real
time. Fathom features extensive sampling and simulation tools,
over 100 built-in functions, and dozens of graph types.
